I had Thanksgiving with a gentleman who is very sick. The constant worrying associated with a terminal illness has it's consequences on ones mind, depression usually can usually kill you before the illness. This gentleman is so afraid of death that he cries out loud... He is constantly covered in urine, having to change clothes a few times a day. but his spirits are high. He had no-one to take care of him till I came along and I promised to help him through to the end of his life...It's pretty amazing to see someone so happy as him and even more... having Thanksgiving with someone

Obama told Damon that parents need to be more active in education so kids are "not just turning on the TV all day or playing video games." We live in separate worlds yet we are neighbors. I'm referring to a black and white issue that we deal with everyday. Racial profiling and prejudice are hot topics and I think it is time we talked about it. My opinion doesn't count in this post because my brother is black. The Bureau of vital statistics says we are killing only people of our own race. From 1976 to 2005 all murders or homicides--86% of white victims were killed by whites and 94% of black victims were killed by blacks. The rate of firearm violence increased and Since 1994, violent crime rates have declined, reaching the lowest level ever recorded in 2005. Now where is racial profiling? We're obviously committing crime against people of the same color. We all have guns but we don't kill each other, we all don't agree but we don't harm one-another. How ironic we only kill our own

I believe the real presidency of Barrack Obama was defined when one of his own began shouting racism. This puts him at the top of civil rights activist greats like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. The symbols of racism in America of racism belong to these gentlemen. Most often their facts are confused. Their voices are silenced throughout the population until someone cries racism. It is a real shame our leaders swear hate and racism to further upset our lives. if we need these activists to remind us how deprived the black culture is in America. We see this in issues such as section 8 housing, welfare and crime. In my state black on black killings happen on a weekly basis. White people and racism have nothing to do with these events. A large population of blacks is involved in an interracial marriage or relations with someone of a different color. I see no racism nor do I hear these activists trying to better the lives of these people. I don’t hear my neighbors cry racism and I don’t talk racism to my neighbors. We only hear this from our leaders.

A few people and myself had a conversation about Mr. Gates. “The police had no right touching Gates no matter how he acted” the gentleman replied,” I can say anything I want to a police officer and they can’t do anything about it” This sort of got my attention and I prayed he would continue. “ I can say or do anything I want in front of a police officer, he just going to have to take it” he said while writing a check for food, “ He’s just going to suck it in and listen to what I have to say.“ At this point my prayers were being answered and I ask if he thought this was racial profiling, Right now the media is fixated on racial profiling against Gates. “Yes it was” he said “Even President Barack Obama said it was racial profiling, he even called the police dumb” .You wait till next time I get pulled over I’m going to give the police a hard time and dare them to do anything about it”

#2- WDEL radio at 11:50 on your AM dial. Delaware politicians are guests and hosts on the afternoon talk show with Rick Jensen. Al Massiti’s behavior on air makes him treat for anyone who listens. The news program is right on target with what’s happening in your community
#3- Wilmington City Council for their ability to keep a city plagued with violence calm. I was invited for dinner yesterday and didn't eat. A friend and her mate were talking about the possibility of hitting the lottery. She said her life wouldn't change and she would stay in this area. Her mate made plans for moving to the beach where he could dock his boat and get a much bigger house. "I'm not going to clean both houses and I'm not going to clean after you," she said " I have enough work here and I'm not going to quit my job". Her voice became enraged with anger. Her mate implied he would leave her to live at the beach and she could visit whenever she wanted. " I'll bet you have a girlfriend down the beach" she said as she picked up her drink and threw it at him. The mate stood up and started throwing food everywhere in a fit of anger. When dishes started to fly I walked away to the other room. After 15 minutes of fighting and arguing she admitted that she forgot to play their numbers...

I haven't heard Jack Markell's name in the bitter news lately. State workers only got a small cut in pay compared to the 8% originally proposed. I'm glad things turned out the way they did, my boy Jack can go back to doing what he does best being our Governor. State workers returned back to work and their computer games. While time goes by slowly on a work day for them I'm glad some have games to pass the time, after all I don't want to see them bored. Otherwise things are normal in Delaware. Years ago a family member got involved in an inter-racial relationship with a black man. He would swear up and down that we disliked him because of his color. My family being the deranged individuals we are... We wondered what was the big thing about being black. So you're black we don't really care, just stop being a jerk., we're all colored in some fashion. Our grievance with him was not because he was black but because he was stupid...and proceeded to point out other stupid features of his personality. LONDON, England (CNN) — Iran has released Washington Times journalist Iason Athanasiadis from prison, government-funded Press TV reported Sunday.

Athanasiadis’s arrest was first reported June 23, with no reason given.

Athanasiadis, who also goes by the name Jason Fowden, holds dual British and Greek passports.

The Washington Times did not immediately respond to CNN requests for comment.

Britain’s Foreign Office in London said Sunday it had no information about the case.

An enchantment with welfare destroyed Black America’s family structure where it became persona non grata for fathers to be in the household and having more children offered increases in welfare benefits for unwed mothers. Many black male players then treated black females comparable to female dogs to be impregnated and left to raise their offspring. The absence of the black fatherly image created a vicious cycle of black boys not understanding that they have parental responsibilities for the children they procreate and that holding onto a job that provides for his family’s livelihood earned him global manhood respect. Approximately 70 percent of black children are born outside of wedlock and roughly 35 percent grow up in married households suggesting that the nuclear family is not the norm in Black America. Many black children might not know their fathers or his family meaning that they are trying to advance with only half of the parentage necessary to be successful in the economic mainstream. Some unwed black females have given birth to children with multiple “baby daddies” exacerbating the poor image of the black fathers’ irresponsibility caricature.In the 1940s when my parents migrated north as a part of the great black exodus from southern tyranny seeking employment opportunities, we lived in a public housing project where only one of my friends had no father. Our parents worked. We children had daily chores. Education was paramount – the dream was to be a preacher, teacher, medical doctor, or lawyer. Many black parents of those days would be in jail today because they did not spare the rod. We were taught we needed to be twice as good as a white person to be equal, so excellence was our mantra. Our work mindset and zeal for education was comparable to the experiences of today’s African immigrants. We believed that hard work and perseverance led to success. One of my close friends in undergraduate college was a Kenyan chap. Freddy and I would study physics together. I still laugh recalling when my wife opened the front door as he came courting one of her sisters saying, “Is xxxx home I came to play with her.” Needless to say he stunned my wife with this request. I then helped him with an acculturation effort to Americanize his approach. I think President Barack Obama has kindled an enfranchisement of the responsible black father. I was chatting with a young black male who shared that more brothers are spending time with their children. As I set in the park recently, I noticed that there were young black fellows bringing children to the park without the mothers.
